Inside our own factory in Tucheng, New Taipei
Crowd-Idea

We don’t think and design by ourselves

SLIDER built the Crowd-Idea business model in Taiwan’s electric bike market: more than 100,000 people discuss and take part in the design online through social media.

We hear the ideas — and we can build them

The internet has never been short of opinions about a bike. The hard part is whether, once they come in, there is anywhere to build them — at most brands, a design change has to be slotted into a contract manufacturer’s production plan, and one round takes a year.

SLIDER has its own factory, so Crowd-Idea is not just a marketing campaign. Ideas come in, get evaluated, scheduled and built into a new model — in a cycle short enough that people still remember what they suggested.

  • Ideas collected through social media
  • More than 100,000 people join the discussion online
  • Our own factory lets changes go into the next production run
  • A new model year of each range, every year
